SERIRUK HOSPITAL

Synphaet Serirak Hospital is thoughtfully designed with a primary focus on creating a welcoming and kid-friendly environment. This intention is vividly expressed through vibrant color treatments at the entrance and podium levels, fostering a fun and cheerful atmosphere for children. The renovation project not only enhances the overall living space but also promotes a new paradigm of healthy living.
The tower façade embraces the concept of “indirect design,” strategically optimizing views and sunlight to enhance the space’s quality. To seamlessly integrate into the urban landscape, the building is structured into three tiers, with each side facing the playground extending into the interior spaces. Concrete animal sculptures, uniquely identified, add a playful touch to these spaces, creating a continuity between the hospital’s interior and the exterior playgrounds. When viewed from surrounding towers, the tiered terraces present a captivating “fifth facade” that contributes to the neighborhood’s visual appeal.
The building’s facades, constructed from white fin aluminum with an integrated white gradient color scheme, serve as a backdrop for whimsical animal sculptures. This design approach aims to animate the urban landscape, sparking a child’s imagination. The wild animal sculptures, including a giraffe peacefully grazing on leaves and a playful lion and rabbit, playfully interact with the surrounding environment.
In essence, the architecture transforms into a storytelling medium, changing its identity to become a metaphorical landscape—a representation of the urban jungle. The animal sculptures, intertwined with the trees, establish a connection between the hospital and nature. Notably, the giraffe, visible from all angles in the surrounding area, serves as a symbol for the children’s clinic. Walking through its legs to enter the building, visitors are invited to embrace a sense of playfulness and fantasy, injecting a touch of poetry into the routine life of the town and inspiring a more imaginative and uplifting atmosphere.
