The design concept for the warehouse and local office for an organic coconut farm in Ratchaburi Province is driven by the client’s vision of transforming the farm into not just a commercial agricultural space but a leisure and learning destination. The intention is to create a space that goes beyond the traditional perception of a farm, embodying a place of charm, simplicity, and functionality. The primary goal is to translate the client’s inspiration into a well-organized architectural form that serves both as a humble garage warehouse and a functional office.
The design exercise places a strong emphasis on simplicity, showcasing a clean and well-organized architectural form. This deliberate choice not only reflects the unpretentious nature of the farm but also aligns with the client’s desire to create a space that exudes charm. The design strives to communicate that the farm is not just a commercial entity but a place where visitors can find leisure and opportunities for learning.
The warehouse and local office are conceptualized to function seamlessly while maintaining an aesthetic that resonates with the client’s vision. The architectural form is designed to be charming yet unassuming, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. The intention is to move away from the typical industrial or commercial aesthetic associated with warehouses and instead present a structure that harmonizes with the natural surroundings of the farm.
This project aims to convey a shift in perception, transforming the farm into a multifaceted space that serves agricultural purposes while inviting people to experience leisure and education. The architectural order and simplicity underscore the dual nature of the warehouse, functioning not only as a practical storage space but also as a charming hub for learning about organic farming practices.
In essence, the design exercise for the warehouse and local office is a manifestation of the client’s inspiration, blending functionality with charm and simplicity.
